Our Programs

Awareness. Education. Devices. Three programs working together to keep kids safe.

Awareness

  • Getting the word out about the warning signs of cardiac conditions.
  • Sponsoring community events and bringing in mobile cardiac screenings to help with early detection of abnormal heart conditions in kids.
  • Helping families pay for genetic testing and other preventative measures not covered by insurance.

Education

  • Once an abnormality is detected, helping families get a preventative plan in place with the proper providers and specialists.
  • Sponsoring community events that would involve bringing in local organizations for CPR & AED training.
  • Staying up to date with ongoing medical innovations and advancements in pediatric cardiac care.

Devices

  • Distributing AEDs to at-need families throughout the community.
  • The cost of an AED is approximately the same cost as a new iPhone!
  • Without AEDs, the national average survival rate for sudden cardiac arrest is 10%. However, studies have demonstrated that the survival rate of sudden cardiac arrest with AEDs is significantly higher, with some showing a rate as high as 70%.
