Sponsor a Hole: 3rd Annual Live Like Chasen Foundation Golf Outing

Eighteen holes are available at The Manor Golf and Country Club on August 31. A $750 hole sponsorship funds the cardiac awareness, family training, and AED devices that keep kids like Chasen alive.

On March 21, 2023, Chasen Petcovic went to sleep and didn’t wake up. Hours earlier he had been playing first base and pitching for his baseball team. He had never had a symptom in his life. What his family learned afterward — that Chasen had Brugada Syndrome, and that his mother and two of his brothers carried it too — is the reason this foundation exists, and the reason we’re asking your company to sponsor a hole this August 31.

The Ask, Up Front

The 3rd Annual Live Like Chasen Foundation Golf Outing is Monday, August 31, 2026 at The Manor Golf and Country Club in Milton. There are 18 hole sponsorships available at $750 each. Your company’s sign goes on a tee box, in front of every golfer who plays that hole, and every dollar goes to a qualified 501(c)(3) charity working on one thing: making sure fewer families get the phone call the Petcovics got.

You don’t have to play. You don’t have to attend. You don’t have to build anything or staff anything. Sponsor a hole, send us your logo, and you’re done.

Where the Money Actually Goes

This isn’t a general fund. The foundation’s mission breaks into three concrete pieces, and a hole sponsorship touches all three.

Detection. Most kids with an inherited arrhythmia look exactly like every other kid on the field. Chasen did. Awareness work — getting families and coaches to recognize what warrants a cardiologist visit, and pushing for screening that goes beyond a standard physical — is the front end of the whole problem.

Education. An AED on the wall doesn’t help if nobody in the house knows what to do in the ninety seconds that matter. The foundation works to get families trained and ready to act before an emergency, not during one.

Devices. AEDs cost real money, and the families who need one most are often the ones who just absorbed a catastrophic loss. Putting devices in at-risk homes is the most direct line between a sponsorship check and a life.

Why This Works

Caden is alive because of the third one

After Chasen’s death, his family spent a year learning the condition, preparing for an emergency, and equipping their home with an AED. On June 20, 2024, they found Chasen’s brother Caden unresponsive. They used what they’d learned and the device they’d bought, and Caden survived. His mother and both brothers now have ICDs implanted. This is not a hypothetical return on investment.

What Sponsorship Does for Your Business

We’ll be straight with you: a tee-box sign is not a marketing campaign. But it is a full day of exposure to a field of local business owners, executives, and community members in the Milton and Alpharetta area — the kind of room most companies pay considerably more to get into. Your sign sits at the hole for every group that comes through, and your name lands in front of people who notice which local businesses show up for their neighbors.

It’s also clean. There’s no booth to staff, no collateral to print, no follow-up sequence. For a lot of small and mid-sized companies, a $750 hole is the highest-value community sponsorship on the calendar, and it’s a charitable contribution to a 501(c)(3) — worth a two-minute conversation with your accountant about how it’s treated on your return.

Other Sponsorship Levels

If a hole isn’t the right fit, there are bigger and more visible ways to be part of the day. Availability on several of these is limited to one or two.

How to Claim a Hole

Two ways, and both take about five minutes.

Online: Go to the event store, select Hole Sponsor, and check out. Your spot is locked in immediately.

By phone or email: Steve Petcovic handles sponsorships directly. Call (404) 386-6469 or email spetcovic@outlook.com. If your company needs an invoice, a W-9, or to pay by check, this is the faster route.

Either way, send your logo as a high-resolution file once you’ve signed up so we can get your sign produced in time. If you’re reading this close to the event, call rather than email — there’s a hard cutoff on sign production and Steve can tell you where it stands.

Questions Companies Usually Ask

Do we have to golf to sponsor a hole?

No. A hole sponsorship is signage only — it doesn’t include a golfer spot, and you’re under no obligation to attend. If you’d like to play as well, registration and the packages that include golfers are available separately on the event site.

Is the sponsorship tax deductible?

The Live Like Chasen Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) charity, and we’ll provide documentation of your contribution. How a sponsorship is treated on a business return depends on your situation, so check with your accountant — but the paperwork won’t be the obstacle.

Who makes the sign, and what do you need from us?

Send us your logo as a high-resolution file (vector or a large PNG works best) as soon as you’ve signed up. Contact Steve at (404) 386-6469 to confirm the current artwork deadline — it moves depending on the production schedule, and it’s earlier than most people expect.

Can we pick which hole we’re on?

Ask. Placement is assigned as sponsorships come in, but if you have a preference, let Steve know when you sign up and we’ll do what we can.

We can’t do $750. Is there another way to help?

Yes. Tax-deductible auction and raffle items are genuinely valuable to this event — product, gift certificates, experiences, services. Contact Steve at (404) 386-6469 or spetcovic@outlook.com to donate an item. Direct donations of any size are also welcome through the event site.

Can several companies split a hole?

That’s a conversation worth having. Reach out to Steve directly and we’ll work out what makes sense for signage.

One Last Thing

Chasen’s family built this foundation around the way he lived: smile, laugh, be kind, have fun. The golf outing is the year’s biggest fundraiser and, honestly, the most fun day on the calendar — a full course, a reception at the end, and a room full of people who decided to do something useful with a Monday.

There are eighteen holes. Take one.
